Ways to fund your training
There is more than one way to pay for your program at Legends Academy. Here are the funding routes our students use, how the process works, and the answers to the questions we hear most.
Self-Pay (Monthly Option)
Pay for your program directly, with a monthly payment option available so you can spread the cost over time.
RESP
Use a Registered Education Savings Plan toward your tuition. An acceptance letter from Legends Academy is required to release RESP funds.
Student Line of Credit
A student line of credit through your bank. Like the RESP, this requires an acceptance letter from Legends Academy.
StudentAid BC
The provincial student loan program. Applying is fairly straightforward through the StudentAid BC website. Funding may be available for eligible students.
studentaidbc.ca/apply/how-to-applyHow the funding process works
Simple and student-first. We make sure your funding is in place before you start — so you can focus on your training, not your finances.
Book a meeting
We start with a conversation about your goals and program. This comes first — before any funding step.
Meet the requirements
You confirm you meet the enrollment requirements for your chosen program.
Choose your funding route
Together we look at self-pay, RESP, a bank line of credit, or StudentAid BC, and pick what fits you.
Acceptance letter
We issue your acceptance letter — the piece an RESP or bank line of credit needs before it can be applied.
Apply & wait for the answer
You apply through your bank or StudentAid BC. The answer typically comes back in about two weeks.
Confirm & start
Once your Notice of Assessment is back and your funding is sorted, we finalize your contract and set your start date.
Funding questions, answered
There are four main ways to fund your program at Legends Academy: self-pay (with a monthly payment option), an RESP, a student line of credit through your bank, or StudentAid BC (the provincial student loan). In your admissions meeting we walk through which route fits your situation.
Yes — eligible students can apply through StudentAid BC. Applying is fairly straightforward through their website at studentaidbc.ca/apply/how-to-apply. We help you get the acceptance letter and information you need to apply.
Once you apply through your bank or StudentAid BC, the answer typically comes back in about two weeks. That is why we encourage starting the conversation early if you have a specific intake in mind.
An acceptance letter from Legends Academy is required for an RESP and for a bank student line of credit. We issue it once you have met the enrollment requirements for your program.
You can start the process right now — apply and typically hear back in about two weeks. That said, we will not start you in a program until your funding is sorted out. The best move is to begin the funding conversation now so everything is in place in time. There is still time for an August start if you start the process early.
StudentAid BC sometimes provides more than you need and sometimes a bit less than the full program cost. If it comes up short, you can top up the remaining amount through the monthly self-pay option so your funding is complete.
Yes — self-pay includes a monthly payment option, and it can also be combined with StudentAid BC to cover any gap.
