Hairdressing Program
Upon completion of the Hairdressing program, our graduates will have the knowledge and confidence to provide Professional quality services, with a wide range of Advanced Hairdressing skills, including: Designer Cuts with finish style, Foil Techniques, Multidimensional Hair Colouring, Hair Extensions, and Advanced Texture Service techniques.
The theory segment of the program will give students the knowledge of the History and Opportunities, Life Skills, Professional Image, How to Communicate effectively, Infection control, Properties of the hair and scalp, the Principles of Hair Design, Basics of Chemistry and Electricity, Anatomy and Physiology, Histology of the Skin, Salon Business as well as proper Resume and Job Interview Procedures.
Program Description
The program is designed to instruct the students about the basics and foundations of Hairdressing required to meet the industry standards in the role of a Hairdresser in a Salon or a Spa.*
- 1500 hours
- Monday – Friday: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- 43 week/10 month program

Career Opportunities
The career opportunities for a qualified Hairdresser are: Colour Technician and Styling Technician. Other opportunities would be: working as a sales person/rep for a supplier of Cosmetology products, a representative for a manufacturer line in Cosmetology, opening their own salon, a position which leads to managing a salon, reception for a salon with knowledge of the services they provide.
