What is Balayage?
In France, "balayage" literally means "to sweep" — including sweeping a street or a chimney. In the hair world, it means painting color through hair so it falls in soft, natural-looking gradients with no hard regrowth line. Unlike foils, balayage is fully freehand. Your colorist reads your hair section by section and places the lightener where the sun would naturally hit. It's the technique behind every "is that her natural color?" head of hair you've seen on Instagram for the past decade.
Something Cool
Balayage is widely considered one of the hardest colour techniques to master — it is freehand, so there is no foil structure to hide behind, and every sweep has to account for how that particular head of hair will lift. Colourists typically train for years before they are trusted with a full head. Ours starts at $160 because our senior students are practising the craft on real clients, supervised at every step.

I've reviewed Legends Academy in the past and I'm doing it again today. My service this week was exceptional. The student did a wonderful facial and scalp massage. It was so good that I fell asleep! The students are taught to the highest standards and the instructors are top notch! This is a well managed school and if you haven't tried one of their services, what are you waiting for?
